Meet Our Staff

Michael Bruner, LCPC, NCC

He/His

Michael works with adults of all ages as well as teenagers. He sees many clients who are working through anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and the effects of trauma. One of his clinical interests is so-called “men’s issues” (although he works with many clients identifying as female and non-binary as well). He also has vast experience working with the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations. Michael facilitates a process by which clients are able to build their resiliency skills, empowering them, long-term, to survive the inevitable challenges of life.

Michael earned his master’s degree in Human Services and Counseling from DePaul University and has worked as a counselor for both public and independent schools and community mental health agencies, including ChiArts (The Chicago High School for the Arts), Barr-Harris Children’s Grief Center, The Latin School of Chicago, and the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. He has been working in private practice since 2016.
