Meet Our Staff

Kayla Willis, MA, NCC, LPC

Kayla, a Licensed Professional Counselor, earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Chicago, and is currently earning her Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling, Education, and Supervision from Adler University, Chicago. Kayla has presented at several professional conferences on topics such as perceived stress among undergraduate college students, and eastern practices in modern day counseling. Additionally, in 2016, Kayla was published in The North American Journal of Psychology for her earlier work on perceived stress.

Kayla is passionate and experienced in supporting children, adolescents, and adults of diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings. These experiences range in areas from life transition concerns, trauma, to depression and anxiety, self-esteem, and stress management. Kayla also has training in crisis intervention, collaborative problem solving with adolescents and children, and grief and loss. Kayla’s approach to therapy starts with building a sincere connection while pursuing goals in a way that uniquely suits your experiences, intersecting identities, and preferred pace. Kayla works with clients to offer a safe, non-judgmental, validating space where one can be open and honest, build insight, and develop the skills needed to thrive; while also encouraging self-love and acceptance.
