Compassionate Support When You Need It

Infertility Support

Are you dealing with the stress, pain, and uncertainty of infertility? Like many people, you want to be a parent. Maybe you assumed getting pregnant would be a natural, problem-free experience. But this hasn’t been your story. Maybe you are coming to terms with an infertility diagnosis or tying yourself in knots managing hormone shots and clinic appointments. Perhaps you feel that your sense of identity and dreams for a family has been taken away from you.

It’s normal to have high stress or anxiety levels as you experience complicated medical procedures, difficult decisions, and the uncertainty of treatments. Feelings of sadness and loss from unsuccessful conception attempts and cycles of hope and disappointment are natural. You may find yourself wondering if you are to blame. You may feel angry, guilty, ashamed, and isolated, but you are not alone.

Support to help you cope with the stress of infertility.

Infertility is inherently stressful. It can impact how you view yourself or your partner, your sexual relations, and your relationship with other people. Even under the best circumstances, the process of fertility testing, evaluation, and treatment can be daunting. Our therapeutic infertility support services are designed to provide emotional support and helpful information during office visits, exams, office visits, injections, surgical procedures, and more. We are here to simply listen as you work to figure out the next steps. You can still benefit from infertility support in therapy EVEN if you aren’t currently receiving infertility treatments, and even long after you have undergone it.

At City Counseling Center, we help you find hope. We understand the unique concerns of biracial, single, older parents, LGTBQ+, and complex blended families. We also understand it can be hard to share your experience with others. The physical, emotional, and financial burdens of infertility treatments often take a toll on even the strongest of relationships and marriages. Counseling for infertility support is designed to help individuals or couples manage the hardships that come with infertility or the process of infertility treatments.
